Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all notarizations conducted remotely? +
Most appointments are scheduled as Remote Online Notarizations (RON) for convenience. However, certain documents require in-person execution: Durable Power of Attorney, Irrevocable Trusts, Last Will & Testaments, Conservatorships, and I-9 Verification Documents. If you submit one of these, we will contact you to arrange an in-person meeting.
Can you notarize documents for clients outside Texas? +
Yes. Wet-ink (traditional) notarizations are limited to the State of Texas. However, as a Remote Online Notary, services are available to any client within the United States and its territories.
What is required for documents involving minors? +
All documents involving persons under the age of 18 require proof of guardianship — such as a birth certificate or court documents — for notarization to proceed.
How long does a notarization session take? +
A standard RON session typically takes 10–15 minutes after identity verification. Mobile loan signings vary by document volume but are generally completed within 30–60 minutes.
Can you provide legal advice? +
No. Charles Weimer is not a licensed attorney and cannot provide legal advice under any circumstances. For all legal matters, please seek the guidance of a licensed attorney.
